First American Mortgage: Santa Ana, California

Identified and documented IT general computer controls and application controls leveraging the Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) framework. Developed remediation test plan, and comprehensive documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 infrastructure, network security controls, and IT general computer controls. Led and developed project plan and testing procedures for remediation testing. Completed remediation testing for Hyperion financial reporting, Oracle 11i Applications (AP,AR,GL,JE), Database Security controls, and change management controls. Tested Security, Data Management, Computer operations and Change management controls for Windows, Unix, and other proprietary IT systems.

Genentech Inc.: South San Francisco, California

Technical lead and SRM Business Analyst of the Procure to Pay team. Scope of assignment was leading and managing eight other business analysts on the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and to provide technical expertise in resolving complex IT issues. Oversaw all aspects of technical design and solution delivery while ensured that business requirements were met. Extensive work in interfacing with technical teams to provide functional specifications, led design reviews, and led debugging and testing for various development objects. Also provided functional and technical leadership to maintain project team’s alignment with corporate business strategies.

Bookspan: New York, New York

Extensive Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 assignment. Examined, assessed, and assisted with documentation application functional controls including user authentication, user security, financial reports, and forecasting accuracy for compliance. Evaluated critical business systems interfaces with application development and supporting infrastructure for regulatory security compliance and process repeatability. Developed the project plan and led testing procedures for SOX compliance efforts for IT controls. Supervised information systems reviews for client’s key customers. Researched technologies and developed audit programs that outlined evaluation process and testing procedures. Documented and presented audit findings and recommendations to senior management team.

The Walt Disney Co.: Burbank, California

Worked as the technical lead on the Procure to Pay team supporting logistics and finance processes from e-Procurement to Accounts Payable. Led global implementation with over 100,000 users spread across 24 countries and in 11 languages covering mySAP.com Enterprise Buyer (EBP 2.0), MM Purchasing, MPM (Media Product Master), FI - GL & SL, CO - Cost & Profit Center Accounting, BCS, SEM, BW, and HR systems. Assisted the team with functional enhancements and complex break-fix requests in the Accounts Payable, Sales and Use Tax and Purchasing areas. By working with SAP’s global support team resolved some complex issues with the client’s EBP Upgrade to SRM 3.0 (EBP 3.5).

IBM Display Unit: San Jose, California

Led project team for multiple SAP implementations that involved global supply chain systems and infrastructure in Asia and California. SAP modules that were implemented include MM, SD, FI, and CO. The complex supply chain consisted of purchasing activities from internal plants in China and Japan, receiving activities at the centers located in Taiwan, China, and Singapore, under U.S. or China ownership, and then later sales activities to external customers, or even returns for defective/damaged parts. Part of the complexity was due to many hand-offs in the process flow across geographic regions, combined with the use of local currency for some of the implementations. The projects were implemented simultaneously, prioritized by business benefits and customer commitments.

 Farmers Insurance: Los Angeles, California

Led the implementation of Profitability Analysis, Cost Center Accounting and Profit Center Accounting. Designed and implemented some of the most complex custom calculation programs for the finance and insurance industry. Demonstrated strong commitment and perseverance to bring about multifold increase in data accuracy of legacy system feeds. Responsibilities included coordination, design, feedback during construction and testing of complex insurance industry specific custom calculations, legacy interfaces to upload Claims and Policy related data into PA for allocations, transfer of PA data to Special Ledger and development of Report Painter reports. Led the functional team for End to End Integration Testing using automated testing tool TestDirector and WinRunner.

Larsen & Toubro: Mumbai, India

Led the IT project team at India’s largest engineering and construction conglomerate. Was responsible for all Controlling functions within SAP’s R/3 Project Systems module through Analysis, Design and Construction phases of the project. Some of the functionality implemented included Cost Planning (using Work Breakdown Structures), Cost Forecasting, Network Costing, Funds Commitment, Budgeting and Availability Control, Revenue Planning, Milestone Billing, Overhead Costing, Periodic Settlement and integration with other logistics related sub-modules within Project Systems. Also integrated SAP’s document management functionality with PS to facilitate on-line availability of engineering design documents.
